AI for grant and impact reporting, with every figure cited
Funder reports take days because the numbers live in five places. Attendance is in one spreadsheet, outcomes in another, and the stories that explain them are in case notes. Each cycle someone copies it all into the funder's template and checks it twice.
A reporting agent gathers those records, maps what happened to the funder's outcome framework, whether that is the funder's own template or a standard such as IRIS+ or GRI, and drafts the report. Every figure links back to the row it came from, and anything it can't map is listed for staff to decide. Nothing is exported until a program manager has reviewed it.
Who it suits: Nonprofits, charities and social enterprises that report to several funders, and impact or evaluation teams working with frameworks such as IRIS+, GRI or SASB.
This is an example workflow, an illustration of what gets built. Its numbers are examples, not client results.
Grant and impact reporting for a community nonprofit
Program spreadsheets and case notes are pulled together, mapped to the funder's outcome framework, and assembled into a draft report with citations back to the source data.
In this example: A draft report from 4 spreadsheets and 128 case notes, every figure cited. Nothing is exported until the program manager approves it.
Example workflow. The agent pulls four program spreadsheets and 128 case notes, and reads the funder's outcome framework. It maps what happened in the program to three of the funder's outcomes and lists six items it could not map, so a person can decide what to do with them. It drafts four report sections and links each of the 41 figures to the row it came from. The draft waits for the program manager, who approves it with two edits. An inspection step confirms every citation resolves, every figure matches its source, and no client names appear in the draft. The report is then exported.

- The problem
- Every reporting cycle, program staff spend days copying numbers out of spreadsheets and case notes into the funder's template, then checking them against each other.
- What the agent does
- Pulls the program records, reads the case notes for outcomes, maps them to the funder's framework, drafts the report sections, and links every figure back to the row it came from. Anything it can't map is listed, not guessed.
- Where people stay in the loop
- The program manager reviews and edits the draft before anything is exported. Unmapped items go to staff to decide. Client names never leave the source records.
Common questions
- Will the AI make up numbers or stories?
- It is built so it can't put a figure in the report without a source row, and an automatic check confirms every figure matches its source before a person sees the draft. Quotes and stories are drawn from case notes only with your consent rules applied.
- Can it work with our funder's template?
- Yes. The funder's framework or template is one of the inputs. Different funders can each have their own mapping.
- Is client data kept private?
- Client names and identifying details stay in the source records and are checked for on every draft. Data handling is agreed with you up front, including where data is stored and who can see it.
